[bareos-users] Error: Attempt to define second Catalog resource named "MyCatalog"

Hey Guys,

Bareos-dir fails to start with the error "Attempt to define second Catalog resource named My Catalog" and points to error with the .conf file.

The config is mainly default with server details and I'm not sure what to change. I know our version of BareOS is a bit out of date but I'm running out of ideas of what to check next.

All the clients use My Catalog and that looks fine and I considered creating a new Catalog for testing.

Any ideas here?

I appreciate the help!

If you try to start bareos-dir -d200 -t -u bareos -g bareos you should have a detailled trace where the parser and lexer find the second definition of MyCatalog.

You have perhaps a mixed configuration between new (/etc/bareos/bareos-dir.d) and old /etc/bareos/bareos-dir.conf ?

Sometimes the default configuration coming with the rpm(deb) can be in conflict with your own one. Like for example having the default MyCatalog.conf and mycatalog.conf both of them having the same directive MyCatalog
