Still awaiting a response from the group as we cannot proceed with these errors still being persistent.

generic_tape_device.c:142 Unable to open device "tapedrive-0" (/dev/nst0): ERR=No medium found

The only error I can see in dmesg is this:

dmesg | grep st0
[st0] Block limits 1 - 16777215 bytes.
[146414.351640] st 18:0:0:0: [st0] Failed to read 64512 byte block with 80 byte transfer

Tried remove all tapes from the library and relabeling but the error remains.

Any help appreciated

Did you dig if the dmesg line timestamp correspond to the same moment the sd
return the error ? If yes or is in the short timeframe, it will be something
that needed to be fixed on the hardware.
