Problems with webui, claims that the running bareos-dir denies access or is down.
a check of the httpd.log gives an filesystem access denied on BareosBSock.php

Gave up and wanted to reinstall exactly as the manual says.

So I tried to erase the package with yum but notting happened, a locate listed all files...

So I deleted them manually including the yum files for bareos.
To make sure I uselessly rebooted....

Thought to have a clean install now...
Nada no etc/bareos.... no /usr/lib/bareos...
What the f.. is going on?

Did not touch the bareos-fd.conf but a check with bareos-dir -t ....
told me that the "not to be touched" bareos-fd.conf has an error on line 12 char 11 what a f... that's only a { it belongs to the position...

All other software recons the { char(set)

Confusing - confusing

disabled selinux
run
# yum clean all
# rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
# rpm --rebuilddb
# yum update
----------
yum install bareos (database already installed and privileges set)

funny again
No /etc/bareos
No /var/lib/bareos

I have no Idea where yum/rpm fetches the misinformation

selinux disabled but systemd did not implement links for bareos.

For me systemd is scrap so I downgraded to CentOS 6.7 with sysV (SELinux
disabled) and the installation of
bareos and bareos-webui was OK.

the nas-server ist strictly local so I decide later if I activate
SELinux or not.

Thank you for your help.
