I am sure I am just blind but is there a doc on version compatibility? I am getting SD errors when my linux 16.2 client connects to my 17.2 director and I want to rule out a version problem before digging deeper.

taking a look into
http://doc.bareos.org/master/html/bareos-manual-main-reference.html#x1-670004
you will find some statement regarding versions of director, storage
daemon and file daemon. Additionally there is a backwards compatibility
matrix linked there. Maybe that answers your questions.

Regards,

Andreas
