***@all,

I have a bareos-installation 17.2.6 on UCS 4.3-2.

Due to manual interventions in volumes and jobs, the backup is inconsistent. I've made a full backup of all the data outside bareos and now want to reset bareos completely. What is the simplest way to do this?

I'd suggest to completely drop the catalog and create it anew. Also
you'll have to remote all vtl "tape" files created for your previous
backups as well as to clean your physical tapes, so that you can
integrate them, after your new catalog has been created.

Regards,

Andreas

sounds good. deleting the physical tapes is not a problem. Is there's a command to delete the catalog (volumes jobs ...) or how do I delete them fastest without having to delete each volume and job one at a time?

I delete all volumes and jobs in the db with bconsole and the volumes in the fs.

How can I reste the counter for next volume an jobid in bareos that the next job become id 0001 and the Volumes Full-0001, Diff-0001 and Inc-0001
