Hi All,

I am using a 48 tape library HP MLS3 LTO-5 tapes and the first two tapes filled correctly to 1.52TB. The problem that I'm having now is that other tapes in the pool are now only partially filling e.g. to 322GB and 520GB and are then marked as full. I'm now on tape 5 of what should have taken a max of 3 LTO-5 tapes for the full backup. All tapes are brand new on first use as we just purchased the library. This is the first problem that I've had with what has been an excellent solution thus far. Hopefully a member of the group has seen and rectified this problem before?

user defined maximum volume capacity => marking tape full early => loading new tape.

Cheers, Joe

Hi Joe I also use a tape library LT0-6 with a dell tl2000 tape library. May I know your setup for the tape pool in bareos? I set mine to not have a max volume capacity since tape backups are usually variable depending on the files being written.
