Is it too soon to ask about v18?
Any user comments?
bareos 18.2 feature freeze is planed for this month. After this, it will
take several months to finalize the release. Currently, bareos-18.2 is
identical with master/nightly.

I have a client on Ubuntu 17.10 and I assume

1) that I will have to upgrade that client to 18.04 soon and

2) that it will be awhile before Bareos 18.04 is in release mode and

3) based on reading so far, Bareos 16.04 client will probably not work
on Ubuntu 18.04.

Therefore my best solution is to use the nightly solution for 18.04 on
that client to get it working if I upgrade Ubuntu 18.04.

Comments?

and thanks

Thanks, I had not seen this one.

I had seen a previous message by Jorg Steffans that the nightly (at that
time) was in sync with 18.02  but needed to go thru the full testing
before it was released and that would take months.

Just preping for what I might have to go thru. I am avoiding updating my
server as it is on Ubuntu 16.04 anyways.
